2 DAYS MAASAI MARA SAFARI BY FLIGHT

Day 1

The proficiency of our team of Masai Mara tour guides is only matched by our respect for time. That is why we are always at the airport or your hotel an hour before touchdown.

After formally welcoming you, we will drive you to the nearby Wilson Airport. You will then board a 45 minutes’ flight to the Mara. On arrival, we will check you into the Angama Mara, leaving you to yourself for some 3-4 hour of well-deserved rest. If the Agama Mara is beyond your four day Masai Mara safari budget, no worries.

Masai Mara has something for everyone. We will suggest a suitable budget Masai Mara safari camp such as the Mara Concorde Game Lodge. Our evening game drive begins at 3:00 PM.

The Mara terrain changes like the wind. The next one trying to outdo the previous one by doubling on its magnificence and wildlife variety. Our knowledgeable, Kenyan-bred Masai Mara safari directors will guide you through this expansive terrain. Our goal is to take you to the park’s wildlife hotspots, bettering your chances of wildlife spotting and great photography.

Our game drives are, in this case, deliberately slowed to allow you enough time to explore and fall in love with each terrain. Remember to bring your camera with you.

Some of the animals you are likely to see on our evening game drive include the big five, giraffes, antelopes, impalas, hyenas and a generous number of the big cats including the lions.

Day 2

Masai Mara morning game drives are a window to her soul and the primary reason it remains Kenya’s leading tourist destination. We set out for the game drive at 6:30 AM.

Morning game drives are quieter, more intimate, and the best shot you have at spotting the elusive Mara cats. You will, on your path, trod on hundreds of grazers nipping on the dewy morning grass. If you look closely, you are likely to see a bush-camouflaged prey readying itself for a kill.

We move at the speed of the jungle, careful not to scare away the herds of grazing impalas and wildebeests. Leave it to our highly trained Kenyan bred guide to guides you to the best locations for the best game viewing and photography opportunities. Breakfast is at the Little Governors Camp, from where we zoom off to the Mara triangle. The triangle is the least visited by tourists and the most crowded by wildlife. To the southwest lies the Serengeti border, to the northwest the Siria Escarpments and east the Mara River.

On day 2 of your 3 Days Masai Mara Safari from Nairobi, we concentrate on the north of triangle, best known for the Kichwa pride. The pride is a group of 60 adults lions divided among four prides.

Expert Hint:

Those that book this 3 day Masai Mara safari itinerary between the months of July and October get to be on the best viewing-side of the Great Migration.

The event witnesses the crossing of over a million wildebeests, 200,000 impalas and close to 500,000 zebras from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara parks through the Mara River.

What are the odds of crossing a river filled with crocodiles and hippos and making it past the banks dotted with the even more dangerous lions, cheetahs, and leopards? Find out on this 3 day Masai Mara safari from Nairobi.

We stop to sample a packed lunch of your best delicacy before heading on to the evening game drives.

The drive branches further north towards the Tanzanian border. We explore the rich scenery and diverse vegetation for an hour before turning back towards our lodge.

Day 3

The view from up there is magical enough to turn you into a believer. It is captivating and unique in a way that makes the 450$ in balloon safari charges seem like pocket change.

The ride that begins at the first light of sunset floats you through the life-worth Mara plains. It goes lower to allow you a better view of the wildlife, and higher to allow a birds’ eye view of the show-stopping scenery.

A Masai Mara hot air balloon safari glides you through the spectacular forests, riverine habitats, and forested escarpments. It is the perfect way to wrap up your 4 days, 3 nights Masai Mara safari from Nairobi.

The ride ends with a champagne bush breakfast. We will then check you out of the Mara Serena and drive you to the Angama Mara airport for your flight back to JKIA.

Sadly, your 4 day Masai mara safari has come to an end. It was nice having, and we hope to welcome you back to Kenya again.
