Elephants, Aruba dam on the northern banks of the seasonal Voi River, is a popular drinking hole for wildlife. Mudanda rock, the enormous rock towers above a natural dam, which draws elephants and thousands of other animals. Yatta plateau, the longest lava flow in the world stretching 300km. Lugards fall named after Captain Lugards the first proconsul to East Africa, the falls feature bizarrely eroded rocks through which the waters of the Galana River flow over foaming rapids and crocodile-infested pools.
WildlifeThe park is famous for its large animals such as vast herds of red dust-coated elephants, leopards, hippo, crocodile, waterbuck, and lesser kudu, gerenuk and Hirola.The prolific bird life feature 500 recorded species.
Day 1Departure from Diani beach will be 5.00am for a Kenya Safari game drive. Drive along the main Mombasa- Nairobi Highway to the inland through semi-arid country to Tsavo East National Park, one of the world’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries, which is noted for its vast elephant herds ad variety of games including Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra and plain game of almost every kind. You shortly visit Aruba, which is situated at the center of the park where concentration of wildlife and bird life can be viewed. Proceed to Voi Safari Lodge for lunch and have short rest before starting another extended game drive leaving Tsavo late in the afternoon, arriving in your hotel late in the evening.Kenya Safari ends.
